Paul Edmund-Davies will perform in a recital and teach a flute master class at The Colburn School on Saturday, October 15, 2011. The recital is at 4:00 p.m. in Thayer Hall and the master class will follow at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Edmund-Davies was the principal flutist in the London Symphony Orchestra for 20 years. He now holds the principal flute position in the English National Opera Orchestra. Admission to the event is $15. The flutists in the master class are students of Karen Lundgren at The Colburn School.

The performance and masterclass hosted by the Colburn School of Performing Arts and sponsored in part by William S. Haynes Flutes was a success. Marianne Gedigian played a wonderful recital, and the students loved her informative and humorous way of teaching. There were five performers in the class including Michelle Sung, Dianne Pak, Brittany Huang, Julia Klingner, and Meera Gudipatti.
